New stations complete biggest ever commercial radio launch

This month (March 2016) has seen the biggest ever expansion in national commercial radio following the launch of a new national DAB multiplex featuring 18 radio stations – with the final station, Virgin Radio, launching on 30 March.  These stations will provide an unprecedented expansion in choice for listeners and advertisers.

In total, there are eight specialist music stations, three talk stations, three Asian stations, three Christian stations and one for kids.
The full line-up is:

• Jazz FM

The new national multiplex carrying these stations is run by Sound Digital (a consortium of Bauer Media, Wireless Group and Arqiva) and will cover around 75% of UK households.  Listeners are being encouraged to retune their digital radios in order to receive the new services.  More information and advice on retuning is available from Digital Radio UK here.
