An exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, friendly team working in commercial radio. Radiocentre is the industry body representing a variety of the UK’s foremost radio brands, from the biggest – Capital, Magic, Kiss, Classic FM – to smaller, independent local groups and those covering digital only, as well as specialist stations. 

As head of marketing you will be part of the Advertising team, overseeing the company’s brand and promoting our external service offerings.  You will also be responsible for the marketing (including advertising) of Radioplayer, the radio technology platform, owned by the UK’s biggest broadcasters including the BBC.

What we need from you

If Radiocentre’s name is on it, then the likelihood is you will be responsible for it. So this is a role for a creative, inventive, astute and intelligent marketer with appropriate experience.

There is lots of variety in the role, taking ownership of Radiocentre’s advertising and promotions, digital presence and events. You will hit the ground running to deliver on existing projects, including the distribution of a new advertising campaign, our annual conference, regional events and research launches.

We will also ask you to lead on the marketing for Radioplayer, which is now an international digital radio technology platform. You’ll be involved in communication with listeners, as well as work with big technology companies, car firms, and broadcasters in strategically important markets around the world.

You will need to be a self-starter with plenty of initiative and an ability to multitask. As you will manage resources you will also need to have a strong ability in budgeting.  An understanding of B2B marketing is desirable, but not essential. A love of audio and radio is a must.

What you will do

You will have direct reports and overall responsibly for budget management of Radiocentre’s Advertising team. You will gain first-hand experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders and Radiocentre customers as well as briefing third party suppliers.
