Children

There are detailed rules on protecting children in advertising in Section 5 of the BCAP Code.
For radio advertising, children are defined as those aged below 16.
Child voiceovers may be used provided that:

  • no moral harm is caused to the child;
  • the child’s welfare and vulnerability are safeguarded;
  • the child is not being commercially exploited.
