Authorised Person

Companies offering financial services that are regulated activities under the Financial Services and Markets Act will employ one or more people or firms, defined as an Authorised Person.

Where requested via the comments on a clearance document, submitters must obtain a certificate of approval of the recorded commercial issued by the advertiser’s authorised person and this should be supplied to each radio station.

The advertiser should be aware of this requirement, who their authorised person is, and what form the certificate of approval takes.
