Update of Clearance’s online copy guidelines

The clearance team has completed a much-needed update of its A-Z Copy Guidelines. New guidelines have been added or amended, including solar and renewable energy, debt management and price promises.

As well as updating much of the content of the individual guidelines, there’s been work behind the scenes that makes it easier to search for specific copy advice. For example, a search for “beer” will now take customers to the Alcohol guideline, even though the guideline itself doesn’t feature the word “beer”.

The clearance team will continue to monitor search terms, and amend and update the guidelines in line with changes in legislation and corresponding regulation.
