John Cleese, chart-topper Tom Grennan, Diversity’s Jordan and Perri, Rachel Johnson and more to speak at Tuning In 2021

Hosted by award-winning KISS FM presenter and DJ Neev Spencer, the free event will feature sessions from British comedy legend John Cleese, YouTube influencer-turned-broadcaster Elz the Witch, journalist and TV personality Rachel Johnson, poet and mental health activist Hussain Manawer, pop star Tom Grennan, renowned ad creative Ralph Van Djik and more. Radiocentre will also launch major new research, introducing the new study Big Audio Datamine, which analyses decades of data to reveal what makes a brilliant audio campaign. Following the release of his book Creativity last year, Monty Python and Fawlty Towers star John Cleese will be talking about the power of creativity, in conversation with radio and TV host Matthew Wright. The session will explore learnings from John’s career to provide attendees with top tips on how to harness and amplify their creative powers. Rachel Johnson – LBC presenter, author and sister of Prime Minister Boris Johnson – will take to the Tuning In stage to provide a political overview of the media landscape, whilst KISS Breakfast and Diversity stars Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely will be interviewed about their radio careers by some rising stars from the audio world. Meanwhile, number one selling artist Tom Grennan will be talking about radio’s impact on his meteoric rise to fame.

Looking into radio’s exciting future, Charlie Cadbury, CEO of voice assistant-focused advertising agency Say It Now, will discuss the growth of voice commerce and how digital listening will change the way advertisers use audio, plus founder of audio advertising agency Eardrum Ralph Van Djik will explore inspiring audio creativity from around the world. Tuning In 2021 will also be Ian Moss’ first event as the new Radiocentre CEO. Ian will provide an overview of the audio industry and discuss what lies ahead for radio. Throughout the morning, guests will hear from some of radio’s biggest stars, including Amanda Holden, Jamie Theakston, Roman Kemp and Myleene Klass.

Tuning In will be an opportunity for brands, agencies, audio professionals and policy makers to come together and explore the audio revolution. There are a limited number of places to attend in person and the event will be livestreamed.
