Smooth Radio’s Starlight Supper supported by top celebrity chefs

Mary Berry, Anjali Pathak & The Fabulous Baker Brothers are amongst the many celebrity chefs that are supporting Smooth Radio’s Starlight Supper to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Smooth Radio’s Starlight Supper will take place on Saturday 10th March and encourages the station’s 3.3 million weekly listeners up and down the country to host a dinner party - whether it’s an intimate evening at home or something bigger at a local club.  Each guest is asked to make a donation in exchange for some wonderful food and great company and every penny raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Smooth Radio’s Starlight Supper is in its third year and has already raised £250,000 for charity thanks to over 4000 dinner parties held by listeners.

Smooth Radio Brand Programme Controller Steve Collins said: “Our listeners are very sociable and one of their top pastimes is dining with friends and family so this has been an extremely successful event over the last two years. This year we have an impressive variety of well-known chefs and cooks supporting Starlight Supper and we look forward to raising thousands more pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support.”

In 2012, celebrity chefs taking part in the event also include Alan Coxon and Andrew Nutter who have provided Smooth Radio with fabulous recipes to tantalize guests as well as top tips on how listeners can make their event a night to remember.

Smooth Radio will provide the perfect soundtrack to the thousands of dinner parties taking place on the 10th March with non-stop soulful music for four hours from 8pm.
