Smooth Radio announces Aviva as weekend breakfast sponsor

Pat Sharp

Aviva is set to become the new sponsor of Smooth Radio’s Weekend Breakfast Show hosted by Pat Sharp.

The arrangement begins on 3rd March 2012 and Aviva will utilise the sponsorship of the 6-10am Saturday and Sunday show, and its accompanying pages on Smooth Radio’s website, to increase awareness that Aviva can help protect people’s health and wellbeing through its private health insurance products and services. The campaign also aims to help Aviva engage with Smooth listeners by offering practical lifestyle advice and health tips.

The initial three-month deal also includes a two-week daily Smooth Radio Good Health Guide feature providing information on a range of health related subjects relevant to the audience and chosen by the listener, and a one-week promotion during Mark Goodier’s weekday mid-morning show.

Online content will include a bespoke integrated microsite offering additional health and wellbeing information and interaction.

GMG Radio’s Group Commercial Director Jonathan Gillespie said: “We are delighted to be working with Aviva. We’ve worked together to create a brand campaign that works on different levels, highlighting the services that Aviva offers, information on a range of health related subjects that will resonate with the listener and added engagement with the audience online.”

The deal was concluded by Angela Tyrer from GMG Radio Solutions and Zenith Optimedia UK’s Jo Kariolis.
