Dave Berry and Margot James MP for Tuning In

Dave Berry and Margot James MP are among the first confirmed speakers for Tuning In 2018, Radiocentre’s annual conference on Wednesday 16 May at Picturehouse Central, London.

Berry, recently announced as breakfast show host on Absolute Radio, will be in conversation with Harriet Scott of Magic Breakfast, while the new Minister for Digital and the Creative Industries Margot James MP will be presenting a political keynote.

Other speakers confirmed so far include:

  • Bruce Daisley, VP EMEA at Twitter
  • Nick Pugh, Head of Effectiveness UK at Ebiquity
  • Gareth Jones, Marketing Director at eBay and Charlotte Mullan, Business Director at Mediacom
  • Siobhan Kenny, CEO at Radiocentre and Howell James CBE, newly appointed Chair at Radiocentre

Siobhan Kenny, CEO at Radiocentre, said:

“It’s great to have another all-star line-up for Tuning In 2018, including Dave Berry and Margot James MP, with more big names still to be revealed. This year’s event promises to take on some of the biggest issues affecting our industry today and we will be announcing a cross industry initiative aimed at young talent.”

The speaker agenda will tackle a broad spectrum of topics including wellbeing (Bruce Daisley, VP EMEA at Twitter), developing an audio strategy for a global retail brand (Gareth Jones at eBay and Charlotte Mullan at Mediacom), as well as revealing new research from Radiocentre’s recent ‘Re-evaluating Media’ report (Nick Pugh, Head of Effectiveness at Ebiquity).

Tuning In is part of the first Radio Audio Week, a weeklong celebration of the UK’s radio and audio industries which runs from May 14-19.

Previous conferences featured diverse and eminent speakers including bestselling author and philosopher Alain de Botton, Absolute Radio’s Christian O’Connell, Dame Tessa Jowell and John Whittingdale MP, former Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport.
