Christian O’Connell, Dan Brooke and Baroness Tessa Jowell to speak at Tuning In conference

Christian O’Connell, Dan Brooke and Baroness Tessa Jowell are among the speakers confirmed for Radiocentre’s Tuning In conference

Absolute Radio presenter, stand-up comedian and writer Christian O’Connell will be the headline speaker at Radiocentre’s Tuning In conference, which is returning to Soho’s Ham Yard Hotel on Thursday 11 May.

Other speakers include Dan Brooke, Channel 4’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer; Bridget Angear, Joint Chief Strategy Officer, AMV BBDO; Baronesses Tina Stowell and Tessa Jowell; and Alexi Mostrous, Head of Investigations at The Times who led the investigation into YouTube advertising placement.

Now in its third year, Tuning In attracts an audience of some 200 senior leaders from across commercial radio and advertising, including brand advertisers, media planners and creatives.

The first half of the conference will explore some of the big issues facing media and advertising today: diversity, ad safety, and the ‘Echo Chamber’ to name but a few.

The second half will then look forward to the future of radio and how the audio landscape is shifting, delving into voice-activated technology and the opportunities it presents for advertisers.

Speakers lined-up for Tuning In 2017 include:

  • Shelagh Fogarty, award-winning journalist and LBC presenter, who will be chairing the conference
  • Christian O’Connell, Absolute Radio presenter
  • Dan Brooke, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Channel 4
