Multiple-award winning national radio station Absolute Radio and iconic music title Q Magazine – two of Bauer Media’s flagship music brands – are further consolidating their unique partnership which sees them jointly reach an audience in excess of 2.5 million ardent music fans across radio, print and web.

Absolute Radio’s new signing Danielle Perry will spearhead a new era for the station’s relationship with Q magazine as the brands strengthen their collaborative output by teaming up on both Perry’s daytime and Sunday programmes.

Danielle will host a new-look Sunday Night Music Club show in association with Q magazine. The revamped show will include contributors from Q, who’ll add in-depth analysis to a 4 hour show packed with live and new music. The debut show will air this Sunday 2nd August from 8pm-12am.

Q will also feature in Perry’s No Repeat Guarantee show on Absolute Radio with a daily music news bulletin which will then direct listeners to www.qthemusic.com, Danielle will also become a contributor to the magazine as she comments on the latest music trends and news agenda, new releases and more.

Absolute Radio Content Director Tony Moorey says: “The scale of the partnership provides exceptional opportunities for artists, labels and advertising clients to create genuine engagement with an audience whose lives are sound tracked by music that truly matters.”

In the last year Absolute Radio and Q have already created a number of collaborative projects. These including a number of bespoke CD compilations created for the magazine, among them Q Presents The Absolute Radio Sessions which featured unreleased recordings by Coldplay, Jarvis Cocker, Biffy Clyro, Paolo Nutini, Mumford & Sons and more.

Further to this, Absolute Radio’s Breakfast show host Christian O’Connell also hosted the 25th Xperia Access Q Awards in October 2014 that were attended by Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Elbow, St Vincent, Pink Floyd, Johnny Marr, Kasabian and more. Exclusive backstage interviews were broadcast on the station as well as via www.qthemusic.com.

Group Editor-In-Chief of Q Magazine Phil Alexander says: “The partnership between Absolute Radio and Q Magazine is so natural because both of our audiences share a love of real music. We understand that audience and we believe we can create content for them that they truly love – be that on-air, on the printed page, in the digital world, or through events.”
