Radiocentre is committed to safeguarding your privacy online.  Please read this policy to understand how your personal information will be treated. 

Personal Information

Access to the Site does not require you to become a registered user, although you will need to register if you wish to receive e-newsletters from Radiocentre or access our Mapping tool or Ads Database.

Radiocentre hopes you find the e-newsletters we send you useful but if you have any complaints about them or their content you should email info@radiocentre.org.  You can opt out of receiving Radiocentre emails at any time by emailing info@radiocentre.org or clicking ‘Unsubscribe’ at the bottom of any email you receive.

To register to receive e-newsletters from Radiocentre you must provide us with accurate registration information.  The details which you provide about yourself and any information which identifies you such as your name, address, email address (“personal information”) will be collected by us when you register.

Any personal information obtained from you by Radiocentre in order to send you e-newsletters will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act and the Terms of our Privacy Policy.

How we store and protect information

Only employees and approved contractors/developers who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personal information.

We may need to transfer, store or process your personal information at a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). By submitting your personal information to us, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your personal information, we will use procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Other than as set out in this privacy policy, we will not pass on your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law or by a regulatory or government authority to do so. We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that you remain anonymous even though we include your IP address in our aggregate information.

Any fraudulent or unauthorised use, and any attempts to circumvent system security are immediately notified to system administrators and will result in the immediate closure of the offending user’s system accounts, and potential prosecution under the Computer Misuse Act.  In the event of any such improper conduct, we may use the information we have gathered or received about an individual in order to fulfil the above provisions, including passing personal information to law enforcement authorities including the Police.
